Surakarta, October 28, 2024 – To commemorate the 96th Indonesian Youth Pledge Day, the Center of Excellence in Science and Technology (PUI) Javanologi at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) held a special event featuring poetry readings, traditional Javanese poetry (geguritan), and macapat chanting, along with a Coordination Meeting with Peer Groups and Javanologi Practitioners. The event took place in the Auditorium of the R.Ng. Ranggawarsita Building, 1st floor, and the R.Ng. Yasadipura Hall from 10:00 to 12:00 WIB. It was attended by peer group members, practitioners, and students.
Uniquely, the Peer Group members and Practitioners attending the event wore attire with a Javanese theme. The event was enlivened by Prof. Drs. Pawito, Ph.D. (Peer Group member of PUI Javanologi), who provided inspiration to the invited guests. The event concluded with a continuous series of poetry, geguritan, and macapat readings, beginning with Prof. Dr. Agus Purwantoro, M.Sn. in collaboration with Danyang Subur, S.Sn., followed by Drs. Sutarjo, M.Hum., Prof. Dr. Bani Sudardi, M.Hum., Dr. Suyatno, M.Si., Prof. Ir. Ary Setyawan, M.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Sahid Teguh Widodo, M.Hum., Ph.D., Dr. Septi Yulisetiani, M.Pd., Dr. Sugit Zulianto, M.Pd., Muhammad Taufiq Al Makmun, S.S., M.A., and ending with Dr. Deniawan Tommy Chandra Wijaya, S.Sos., M.I.Kom.
