PUI Javanology UNS together with the Language Center of Central Java Province held a collaboration and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Editing of 20 Javanese literary works at Pendhapa Ageng Javanologi UNS on Monday, May 24, 2021. This activity was attended by the Chairperson of PUI Javanology UNS, Prof. Sahid Teguh Widodo, M. Hum., Ph.D.; Secretary of PUI Javanology UNS, Prof. Diah Kristina, M.A., Ph.D; Head of Central Java Province Language Center, Dr. Ganjar Harimansyah, Peer group, and PUI Javanology Activist, as well as several editors from the Language Center of Central Java Province.
The event was opened by the Secretary of PUI Javanologi UNS, Prof. Diah Kristina, M.A., Ph.D. followed by a presentation from the Head of the Central Java Province Language Center, Dr. Reward Harimansyah. This activity was followed by an FGD of editing 20 literary works from poets, writers, academics in the Central Java region. 20 literary works consisting of Poems, Short Stories, and Dramatic scripts in the Indonesian language which were translated and edited into Javanese. This activity is expected to add to the treasures of literary works for teaching the Javanese language in schools.
The event was closed by the Head of PUI Javanologi UNS, Prof. Sahid Teguh Widodo, M. Hum., Ph.D. who welcomed the collaboration and could continue in other fields, including teaching Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA), publication in national journals, and making educational films for elementary to high school students.
