Triwindu Market was not originally an antique market as it is now. In the past, this market also sold items such as motorcycle and cars parts, carpentry tools, and a few antiques. However, in 1966 the government established the Sumodilagan Market which later became a place for specialists in buying and selling auto parts and tools. So that in 1970 the Triwindu Market had become a specialist market for antiques such as chandeliers, European bronze statues, ceramics, etc.
This market is also located in the Ngarsopuro area which is also a mainstay of shopping tours and art performances every Saturday night (before the pandemic).
