(20/8/2024) Purwokerto – Head of PUI Javanologi Universitas Sebelas Maret, Prof. Sahid Teguh Widodo, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D. shared Research Knowledge based on Local Cultural Studies in the Auditorium of the Professor Kiai Haji Saifudin Zuhri State Islamic University Library (UIN Saizu) Purwokerto, Central Java, Tuesday (20/08/2024). This Coaching Clinic activity was organized by the LPPM UIN Saizu Purwokerto Research Center with the theme “Research Methodology for Local Cultural Studies” and was attended by 50 lecturers and researchers at UIN Saizu. Apart from Prof. Sahid, LPPM UIN Saizu also presented Prof. Dr. Aksin Wijaya, M.Ag. from IAIN Ponorogo.
On that occasion, Prof. Sahid shares a methodological approach known as “Javanese Methodology”. He emphasized special approaches and patterns in the study of Javanese culture. It is hoped that this methodology can become a basis for exploring and maintaining the civilization and traditions that are rooted in Javanese society in a global context.
Chair of LPPM UIN Saizu Purwokerto, Professor Ansori stated that it is hoped that this activity can be followed up by UIN Saizu lecturers and researchers to develop research that focuses on Penginyongan culture. Apart from that, advancing the study of local culture as part of academic identity.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chancellor 1 of UIN Saizu Purwokerto, Professor Suwito, added that his party hopes that this activity can strengthen the capacity of researchers in exploring the local cultural treasures of Penginyongan, which is distinctive for the UIN Saizu Purwokerto campus.

PUI Javanologi UNS also signed a cooperation agreement with PKPBP Penginyongan, UIN Saizu Purwokerto, represented by Dr Rahman Afandi as Head of the Center for Penginyongan Cultural Studies and Development and accompanied by Prof. Dr. H. Ansori, M.Ag. (Chair of LPPM UIN Saizu Purwokerto) and Dr. H Toifur MSi (LPPM Secretary). The collaboration focuses on developing Penginyonan culture, as an effort to preserve and promote local culture. The hope is that we can continue to collaborate on the development and progress of Indonesian culture.
